Apply for a Car
Your Next Chapter
Starts Here
If a lack of reliable transportation is holding you back from work, school, or caring for your family, we want to help. Applications are read by a real person, and applying costs nothing.
Who We Serve
Who We Help
We serve people who have already done the hard work of building stability. You have a job. You have a place to live. You are showing up. The one thing standing in the way is a reliable car, and that is the piece we can help with.
Single Parents
- Currently employed
- Limited access to reliable transportation
- Stable housing and a steady routine the car would protect
Students
- Enrolled and on track to graduate
- Working or in a paid internship
- Active involvement in a church or community organization
Veterans
- Honorably discharged or currently serving
- Employed or enrolled in training
- Connected to a VA or veteran support program
Others working to rebuild their lives are encouraged to apply too. If you don't see your situation listed, apply anyway.
Before you start
The application takes about 15 minutes. Have ready: your driver's license (you will upload a photo of it), your estimated monthly income, your church and pastor's contact information if you attend one, and the name of a reference. Vehicle availability is limited and applying does not guarantee a vehicle, but every application is read by a real person.
The Process
How the Application Works
We walk with you every step of the way, from application to keys in hand.

Receive Your Vehicle
If approved, you'll receive a fully functional vehicle along with maintenance education and ongoing support.
Eligibility
Who Qualifies?
We carefully review each application to ensure vehicles go to those who will benefit most and use them responsibly. Here's what we look for:
- Demonstrated financial need for transportation
- A valid driver’s license, or a commitment to earn one. Not having one yet is not a disqualification, so tell us on the application and we will talk it through with you.
- Currently employed, with proof of steady income
- Stable housing, so that reliable transportation is the piece that is missing
- Willingness to participate in mentoring sessions
- Commitment to maintain the vehicle responsibly
- Must reside in Greater Houston (Harris County and adjacent counties)
Important Note
Vehicle availability is limited. Submitting an application does not guarantee a vehicle. We do our best to serve everyone in our queue.
